Honoring the history of, as well as exploring today’s Cass County, was the objective for the team at Moberg Art Services, led by TJ Moberg. Tom Moberg’s wall sculpture greets in the entryway. Commissioned works by artists Bill Luchsinger focus on area landmarks, such as with “Triumph,” a digital image on ceramic tile, based on a well-known retailer of motorcycles in Cass Co.; and “Phillips 66,” which depicts a still extant gas station in Massena, Iowa. Multiple works from Gary Kelley, of varied media, are culled from his ‘Iowa Esoterica’ series, spotlighting important and influential Iowans. Another commissioned artwork, a mixed-media collage work, titled “Air – Home – Rail,” was made by Mary Beth Heikes, using Cass County maps. Teresa Vander Linden’s mixed media collage, “At the County Fair #1 & #2,” is based on events from Cass Co. Fair.
