Athene holds many Iowa-based artists in its collection, and of these artists, it holds numerous works by Travis Rice, Bill Luchsinger, Chris Vance, John Phillip Davis, Karen Strohbeen, and Larassa Kabel. The collection also includes Thérèse Murdza, Martina Nerhling, Nancy Lindsay, and Thomas C. Jackson, and glasswork by Judy Gorsuch Collins.
