“Pre-Meme” is a commissioned site-specific work by the art duo Aaron Wilson & Tim Dooley. This 6’ H x 32’ L ink on panel wall installation presents like a large but contained collaged mural with vibrant colors and discernable figures that become abstracted by their juxtapositions. The repetition that we experience in a meme is here dissected to show various iterations of an image, which creates a wonderful dizziness and interrupted linearity.
